Actors needed for 2027 season show "Come From Away" - video submissions. ONLY LOCAL, FL & IL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. See more info below. About the project: In the hours following September 11, 2001, uncertainty sweeps the globe. The remote town of Gander, Newfoundland, unexpectedly becomes the landing strip to 38 planes carrying 7,000 travelers. With its population doubled and no time to prepare, the people of Gander open their homes, their hearts, and their lives to these stranded strangers. This Tony and Olivier Award–winning musical, based on an astonishing true story, unfolds through a compelling, folk-inspired score and a cast of remarkable real-life characters. A heart-forward, joyful celebration of resilience, Come From Away reminds audiences of all ages of the power of creating a community as you’re finding a way home. Rate: NON-UNION RATE: $500/week + housing for overstudies. AEA* RATE is Single Engagement Agreement: $565/week. Additional info: Please note: Strong singers are encouraged to audition. This production will also utilize movement/choreography, dialects, and ensemble work. Directors are also seeking swings/understudies. Any performer called back will also be considered for swing/understudy roles. (Male-identifying). The gregarious and well-liked Mayor of Gander, Newfoundland, Claude loves his work, the townspeople and his daily traditions, but he's never had to deal with a crisis of this magnitude before. Also plays Derm and Brenda’s Brother, Eddie. Vocal Range: Baritone (top G4).

(Female-identifying). A no-nonsense mother of three, Bonnie is the head of the Gander area SPCA. When she discovers animals are trapped on the planes, she stops at nothing to ensure their safety - but in frustration, she often lashes out at those around her. Also plays Martha. (Female-identifying). The head of the Gander Legion, with a firefighter son, who walks Hannah to her church and prays with her. Also plays Delores. Vocal Range: Mezzo (top B4).

(Male-identifying). The quirky constable in the two-person Gander police force. When the town's population suddenly doubles, Oz helps out in unexpected ways. Also plays Joey, Customs Officer, Mr. Michaels, Terry, Matty, Rabbi, and Head Cardiologist. Vocal Range: Tenor (top G4).

(Female-identifying). A traditional divorcee from Texas, who is terrified that her son may have been flying at the time of the attacks. When she finds out that he's safe, she's given a new lease on life and discovers a wilder more carefree side of herself. Also plays Crystal and Brenda. Vocal Range: Soprano (top D).

(Male-identifying). The head of an environmental energy company in Los Angeles, Kevin was on vacation with his boyfriend (and secretary, also named Kevin), when they are stranded in Gander. Inspired by the town's generosity, Kevin creates the Pay It Forward Foundation. Also plays Garth and President Bush. Vocal Range: Tenor (top G4).

(Male-identifying). Kevin's boyfriend and secretary. Sarcastic and unhappy, he wants to leave as soon as possible. Also plays Dwight and Ali. Vocal Range: Tenor or Baritone.

(Male-identifying). A hardened New Yorker, Bob is suspicious of where he's landed, fearing that it's World War 3, that someone is going to shoot him and steal his wallet - but instead, he ends up losing his New York jadedness. Also plays Muhumuza and Captain Bristol. Vocal Range: Baritone.

HANNAH & OTHERSBoth genders40-69 y.o.African-American

(Female-identifying). The mother of a firefighter in Manhattan, Hannah waits for news about her son and is comforted by Beulah. Also plays Margie and Mickey. Vocal Range: Soprano (top E5).
