About the project: Storyline: Storyline: In Canada, hockey isn’t a sport — it’s a love bordering on obsession. Nowhere is that love tested more than in junior hockey, where teenagers leave home to play in unfamiliar cities, chasing dreams of the NHL. Some break and fade into obscurity. Others rise to achieve greatness. Sixteen-year-old Marcus Hill, a highly touted rookie from San Diego, wants that greatness, and leaves everything behind to move to the remote town of Fort Perry, Ontario to play for the Hounds — a storied junior franchise— with one goal in mind: make the NHL. He arrives with skill, swagger, and the belief he belongs among the best… which is in contrast to Hounds’ new assistant coach, Sara “Kozy” Kozier. A former player whose career ended just short of going pro, Kozy isn’t chasing what’s next; she’s clinging to the past, unwilling to let go of the game that defined her. Where Marcus is driven by what could be, Kozy is haunted by what’s already over.
