Firm, compassionate, and trauma-informed. She genuinely cares about the kids and understands the system is broken. She tries to do what she can, but knows she cannot save everyone—and that weighs on her.
Well-meaning but dangerously naive. Believes most parents “do their best” and struggles to accept that adults intentionally harm children. Her denial puts kids at risk.
Bitter, strict, and emotionally disconnected. Burned out by the system. Sees kids as manipulative and difficult. Hides behind rules and paperwork—but there’s more to him than meets the eye.
Emotionally detached therapist from an affluent background. Clinical, distant, and struggles to connect with the kids. Lacks empathy and carries unconscious bias that impacts how he views them.
Calm, soft-spoken, and unsettling. Presents as helpful and attentive but uses that to manipulate. His behavior is subtle, controlled, and inappropriate—never overtly shown, but deeply felt.
