"Freaky Friday" Musical Needs Performers

About the project: Synopsis: A heartfelt, high‑energy musical comedy about family, second chances, and seeing life through someone else’s eyes! When an overworked mother and her teenage daughter magically swap bodies, they’re forced to live a day in each other’s shoes — literally. Chaos erupts as they juggle school, work, friendships, and a wedding rehearsal gone wildly off the rails. With a pop‑rock score, big laughs, and a touching message about empathy and understanding, Freaky Friday is a joyful, fast‑paced crowd‑pleaser for audiences of all ages. Additional info: NOTES FOR AUDITIONS: -16 bars of a song in the style of the show ~An accompanist will be provided ~Please bring sheet music in the proper key -Sides will be provided for a brief monologue ~You may be asked to read multiple times -You will learn and dance a small combination ~Wear comfortable clothes -In person auditions preferred. Video submissions will be accepted as long as you are able to attend callbacks, if needed. See the attachment. All potential rehearsal conflicts need to either be listed on your audition form or attached to the form. *** Significant conflicts which arise after casting may result in a role being recast. *** Callbacks: Thursday, April 23rd: 6-10 PM. Performance Dates: July 17th - August 2nd. The show runs Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm and Sundays at 2 pm. There is a preview performance on Thursday, April 16th at 8 pm. Elle’s mom. Overwhelmed, perfectionist, loving but controlling, high-energy. Must be able to portray Ellie Blake as well and portray her trying to be Katherine.
Katherine’s fiancé. Warm, goofy, optimistic, trying hard to connect.
Katherine’s assistant. Confident yet high-strung, sarcastic, loyal best friend.
Ensemble actors will be featured multiple times and each will very likely play multiple roles some of which lead entire songs. Some ensemble actors will be playing only teenage characters, some will be playing only adult characters, some will be playing both. All ensemble actors must be able to move well, but those who will portray teenagers will also need to dance well.
