About the project: A multicultural production of The Dining Room by A.R. Gurney. The play is structured in a series of vignette-style scenes, each centered around a dining room table, portraying various life events. Each actor will perform multiple, unrelated roles, requiring strong versatility and range. Rate: A modest stipend will be paid. Additional info: Location: Saginaw, TX (rehearsals); Fort Worth, TX (performances) Date and Time: Rehearsals begin April 2026 and continue through May 2026 (weekday evenings and weekends, based on cast availability) Production Week Schedule: Tuesday, May 19 – Load-in / Spacing Rehearsal Wednesday, May 20 – Tech/Dress Rehearsal Thursday, May 21 – Performance at 7:30 PM Friday, May 22 – Performance at 7:30 PM Saturday, May 23 – Performance at 7:30 PM Sunday, May 24 – Performance at 2:00 PM (strike immediately following) Actors must be versatile, as they will portray multiple characters. Rehearsals will take place in a private residence in Saginaw, TX. A first read-through and cast mixer will be scheduled after casting is complete. If interested, submit your application.
