"May We All" Country Jukebox Musical Casting Performers
Seeking cast for "May We All" a new country jukebox musical. Please see the details below. About the project: Playhouse is holding auditions for the smash-hit jukebox musical, May We All. If you love country music and heart-filled stories, directors want to see you on stage. Don’t miss your chance to be part of the show the Rolling Stone called "a celebration of the spirit of country music!" Additional info: VOCALS: Please prepare 16–32 bars of a contemporary country song. Bring a backing track. ACTING: Directors will be doing some light scene work from the script. No need to memorize anything in advance—just bring your personality and be ready to read with others. DANCE: Come prepared to move. They will be teaching a short dance combo to see your rhythm and stage presence. No professional dance background required, just a "can-do" attitude. WHAT TO WEAR: Wear comfortable clothing and shoes you can move in. Callbacks: Monday, April 13th 6:00 pm by invitation only. Rehearsals begin: around May 11, 2026. Vocal part: Strong Pop/Country Belt (Mezzo/Soprano). Needs a "powerhouse" voice with distinct country twang/style. The hometown hero who returns in defeat. She is ambitious, talented, and proud, but currently lost and vulnerable. She has to learn that "making it" doesn't always mean leaving home. She carries the emotional weight of the show.
Vocal Part: Tenor/High Baritone. Must be comfortable with high sustained notes or a strong falsetto (sings "Jolene"). Jenna’s high school sweetheart who stayed in Harmony. He is hardworking, loyal, and currently conflicted. He has tried to move on with his new girlfriend, Stephanie, but Jenna’s return shakes up his world.
Vocal Part: Strong Mezzo/Alto with a rock/grit edge. Jenna’s best friend and the owner of "Danny’s Place," the local watering hole. She is the grounding force of the group—sassy, practical, honest, and fiercely loyal. She is the one who tells it like it is.
Vocal Part: Country Baritone/Tenor. Works at Danny's Place. He is charming, laid-back, and totally in love with Liz (though she keeps him at arm's length). He provides comedic relief but also has a heart of gold.
Vocal Part: Alto/Mezzo. Jenna’s mother. Warm, supportive, and the peacemaker of the family. She hides her own worries to keep the family spirit alive.
Vocal Part: Baritone. Jenna’s father. A hardworking man who loves his family deeply but feels the stress of Harmony’s economic downturn. He is proud of Jenna but hurt by her absence.
Vocal Part: Mezzo/Soprano. Jenna’s younger sister. She is smart, observant, and a bit snarky. She resents Jenna for leaving and for the pressure put on her to be the "good one" who stayed. She is desperate to find her own path.
Vocal Part: Flexible, needs to be able to move well and sing. Harmony lifer and jack of all trades. She is the town Zumba instructor, big hearted, opinionated and town gossip.
Dustin’s new girlfriend. She is an "outsider" type—ambitious, polished, and bringing "progress" to Harmony (often in the form of big business). She isn't a villain, but her values clash with the small-town vibe Jenna loves.
Male or female with powerhouse vocals and superstar talent (Often played as a cameo or guest star role but can be cast permanently). A famous country music star. Jenna claims to be working with them in Nashville. This character represents the "dream" Jenna is chasing.
Dustin’s father/mother. He is proud of Dustin and the town and is dedicated to pulling the town out of the economic doldrums.
