Additional information: This hybrid role is based in Toronto and centers on capturing and editing engaging short-form content, including TikToks, Reels, Shorts, and behind-the-scenes moments on set. You will be responsible for identifying trending formats and sounds, pitching creative ideas, and collaborating with producers to support the online release and promotional strategies. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and passionate about storytelling through social-driven video content. Previous experience with BTS, UGC, or entertainment content is highly valued, and a strong portfolio of relevant short-form social video work is required. Deliverables: Film and edit short-form video content (TikToks, Reels, Shorts, BTS) during on-set production days; Capture cast moments, rehearsals, downtime, and key promotional beats; Identify and leverage trending formats, sounds, and social media challenges; Pitch new content ideas to producers and adapt to evolving creative needs; Edit and optimize videos for TikTok and Instagram, ensuring high engagement and shareability; Collaborate with the production team to align content with promotional strategies and release schedules; Maintain an organized workflow and deliver content on tight deadlines. Requirements: Demonstrated experience creating and editing short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts Strong understanding of social media trends, platform algorithms, and audience engagement strategies Proficiency with video editing tools and mobile content creation apps Ability to work independently and proactively pitch creative ideas Previous experience with BTS, UGC, or entertainment content is a plus Portfolio of relevant short-form social video work required Based in Toronto with availability for on-set, hybrid work during production Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
