About the project: This project will be a student commercial for Knifewear, a Japanese knife store in Vancouver. The commercial will follow a home cook who is attempting to cut vegetables in a kitchen with a dull knife. After struggling, they wish for a solution. Suddenly, the "knife genii", a person dressed in chef clothes appears with a brand new knife from Knifewear. The home cook can now cut the vegetables effortlessly. Rate: Non-Union. Volunteer. Lunch will be provided. Additional information: Shoot/Performance Date(s) March 24th 2026. Shoot/Performance Location(s) BCIT Burnaby Campus. They will be using real cooking knifes on set which can be dangerous. Talent will be instructed prior to shooting on the proper way to cut with a sharp knife to ensure safety procedures are being followed. Submission Deadline March 21, 2026.
