About the project: Considered by many the perfect musical comedy, Guys and Dolls takes audiences from the bustling streets of Times Square to Havana, Cuba, and the Save-A-Soul Mission. The story follows high-rolling gambler Sky Masterson, mission worker Sarah Brown, nightclub performer Miss Adelaide, and her longtime fiancé Nathan Detroit. With a cast of colorful gamblers, showgirls, and missionaries, this Golden Age classic explores luck, love, and redemption, featuring beloved songs like Luck Be a Lady, Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ the Boat, A Bushel and a Peck, and Adelaide’s Lament. Rate: Unpaid/non-Equity production. Additional info: Callbacks (by invitation only): Thursday, April 16 Prepare 32 bars of a musical theatre song (from Guys and Dolls or another selection). Bring sheet music for the accompanist (no acapella or recorded tracks). Headshot and resume optional but recommended. Dance may be required at callbacks. Rehearsal Schedule: Begin week of April 26, Monday–Thursday, 6:00–9:00 PM. After May 10, Sunday rehearsals 6:00–9:00 PM may be added. Tech Week: Begins Sunday, June 14 (attendance required). Performance Dates: June 19–21 & June 26–28, various showtimes. Call time: 1.5 hours before curtain. Mandatory strike immediately after final performance on June 28.
