About the project: A stage adaptation of the iconic 1980’s film Footloose, a story about freedom, healing, and the power of young people to challenge unfair rules. When teenager Ren McCormack moves from Chicago to the small town of Bomont, he discovers that dancing and rock music are banned after a tragic accident involving local teens. Ren challenges the town’s rules, befriends locals, falls for the minister’s rebellious daughter, and helps the community confront its fears and heal from the past. We encourage a broad and diverse spectrum of performers and welcome non-traditional casting.
