Lead role. Thoughtful, observant, and increasingly restless. Works a dead-end warehouse job with no clear direction and feels trapped by the prospect of repeating the same life indefinitely. The idea of adventure—other countries, other work, another version of himself—feels like ecstatic relief rather than fantasy. Motion represents meaning. The thought of leaving consumes him.
Lead role. Expressive, verbal, and emotionally exposed. He fills silence with stories and humor, performing himself into the room. He wants connection and believes confidence and charm might earn it. His self-assurance often overshoots, but it comes from insecurity rather than arrogance. Socially restless, romantic in a clumsy way, sincere, open-hearted, and quietly lonely.
Day-player role. An older drifter who travels the country by hopping freight trains. Thom observes him ranting to himself in a trainyard. Weathered, intense presence.
Day-player role. A young rider who shows off on his motorcycle, then disappears. Brief but memorable appearance. Directs the group toward a nearby sideshow.
