(LEAD) Naomi is the spine of this film. She is tough, controlled, and sharp. A woman who has survived too much, and now survival has hardened into something dangerous. Naomi’s grief is not soft. It is weaponized. Her anger is disciplined. She doesn’t rant. She holds it in her jaw and in her hands.
(SUPPORTING LEAD) Samuel is Naomi’s brother. He is not naïve. He is not a stereotype of faith. He is exhausted, steady, and spiritually stubborn. Samuel’s job in the story is to hold the line when everything in him wants to break. He is the counterweight to Naomi’s fire.
(ANTAGONIST) Cutter is the kind of antagonist who never raises his voice. He is calm, patient, and confident. He does not chase. He invites. He has the half-smile of someone who knows the ending and enjoys watching you walk toward it. This is a presence role. Cutter is the hill made human.
(SUPPORTING) Henry is Naomi and Samuel’s father. He is dying, but not gone. He is worn down by life, but spiritually sharp. He speaks like someone who has seen the truth too late and is trying to hand it to his children before time runs out.
