Acting Job in Student Film

Mauri wants to go to Africa. Mauri is adventurous at heart, but is held back by her family. She is fed up with the way her life has stagnated. She is adventurous and determined, but a little bit timid about sharing her feelings. She rolls her eyes... a lot.

(Mid- 20s): Mauri's brother. He is the harbinger of chaos. He seems childish but carries himself like an early 20th century author. He is calculated, cynical, and functions on logic. He secretly loves his sister, but he would never say that...

Mauri's mother. She wants her daughter to stay. She loves Mauri with all her heart. Maybe a little too much. She isn't dumb by any means, but has a hard time coming to terms with her daughter not being around. She is bubbly, nice, and emotionally vulnerable.

He is just the driver. He helps to illustrate Colleen's innocent, but problematic stereotyping.

Mauri's father. He wants what is best for Mauri. He is a very level headed guy when he isn't hitting the bottle. He knows he has a problem, he is no dummy, but fixing a problem is easier said than done. He's a straight shooter, but a little distant sometimes.
