"Hamlet: A Western Reimagining"
Wedgwood Arts announces auditions for Hamlet, presented as a bold Western re-imagining of Shakespeare’s classic tragedy. Set in a lawless frontier town where power is seized, justice is fragile, and revenge rides hard, this production re-frames Elsinore as a settlement governed by fear, loyalty, and violence, where words can be as deadly as weapons. This adaptation retains Shakespeare’s language, edited for clarity and pacing, while embracing the isolation, moral ambiguity, and raw physicality of the American West.
