PREPARATION: For TRACK 1 understudy: Please prepare a monologue under 2 minutes. No TV/Film material. Please choose something with energy and pace. For TRACK 2 understudy: Please prepare a short song and accompany yourself on guitar. Please choose a song in the style of folk, Americana, bluegrass, or rock. An accompanist will NOT be present. Requires a physical stamina to meet the high physical, vocal and pace demands of the piece. A wide variety and range of roles, an agile and nimble approach to character. Primary role is a young lawyer, fresh out of school. Other characters in this track range from an 80-year-old man to a 14-year-old girl.
Onstage musician. Will sing the music in the show & play a combination of live acoustic & electronic music, some underscoring & full musical set pieces & songs in multiple genres. Necessary skillset includes: Tenor singing voice. Highly skilled: acoustic and electric guitar, particularly in alternative tunings DADGAD & DADF#AD. Skilled: slide guitar, keyboards, drumkit, percussion, vocals, banjo. Some working knowledge of Ableton Live software & basic music production/DJing/live electronics.
