About the project: Four Scenes displaying the aftermath of a suicide, showing how the brother, mother and father are dealing with the loss of a family member. The film deals with grief, the complex emotions that come with it and getting help. Rate: Non-Union. Volunteer Project. Additional information: Audition Location Vancouver or Online. Shoot/Performance Date(s) 28 Feb 2026 and 1 Mar 2026. Shoot/Performance Location(s) Burnaby. Submission Deadline February 23, 2026. Looking for South-East Asian actors for 3 out of 4 roles in this project. Being able to speak Tamil or any other Indian language is preferred but not required. Please apply if even if you do not come under the above, directors might be able to make it work.. When applying, please include a 100-200 word paragraph about yourself, what languages you speak, where you are from, what did you study etc. Include your availability for the later half of February for auditions/rehearsals, and for the shooting dates: 28 Feb 2026 and 1 Mar 2026. Ravi is a quiet and reserved university student. He lives in an apartment away from his parents and his brother, who is elder to him by 3-4 years.
Mother to Ravi. She is vocal about her feelings and handles things by speaking her thoughts out loud. She is a logical and rationale oriented person. Ravi and her are distant and she is trying her best to fix things between them.
Father to Ravi, He is usually quiet and processes things internally. He cares deeply even though he might not always show it. He tends to take on a problem solving mentality when crisis arrives.
Therapist to Ravi as he seeks out help. It is revealed that they are not actually a therapist, rather they hold a managerial position and is incharge of allocating therapists to patients.
