Seeking Cast for "Wound Salt" Film Project
Seeking actors/actresses for seven roles for a fun yet impactful project/film “Wound Salt.”, please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: Reeling from a brutal betrayal and the shadow of his father’s death, a young man’s birthday spiral leads to a chance encounter on a desolate shore. In the salt and surf, he must choose between the crushing weight of his past and the dangerous spark of a stranger who knows his darkest secrets. Rate: Unpaid. Snacks, food, and drinks will be provided on set. Credits will be added to the finished product, and the film will be entered into screenings and film festivals. Jay is the story’s protagonist, a young man in his early to mid-20s, freshly in college. He is charismatic and deep, yet highly confrontational. POC and/or Indian male preferred.
Trisha is the story’s female protagonist, a young woman in her early to mid 20s. She is thoughtful, enigmatic, and mystical. An avid-swimmer and aquatics enthusiast, almost mermaid-like in appearance. POC and/or Indian female preferred.
Sam is the protagonist’s best friend. He is a young man in his early to mid-20s who is mature, loyal, agreeable, fun, and kind.
Sam’s Mom is nurturing and patient, but a bit closed off when it comes to resolving conflicts between characters. She thinks the kids should be able to handle things alone. In her 40s-60s.
Annie is a beautiful girl in her early to mid 20s, who is quick-witted but disloyal. One of the primary antagonists of the story.
Adam is Jay’s estranged best friend in his early to mid 20s, who is nonchalant, a bit selfish, and forgetful. Also disloyal. One of the primary antagonists of the story.
A puzzling young man. Meets Trisha early at a nightclub and violates her (no violence shown on camera).
