About the project: Directors are seeking a professional ballerina trained on pointe for a work-in-progress screen dance film that blends live performance, animation, and painterly visuals. The featured scene will be animated and visually treated to resemble an oil painting, creating a dreamlike, surreal atmosphere. The dancer will collaborate closely with the choreographer and creative team to develop and progress the choreography and script for their scene. Additional info: Requirements: - Professional ballet training - Strong pointe work (must be comfortable performing en pointe on camera) - Ability to convey complex emotional and psychological states through movement - Openness to collaboration and creative development - Acting experience or strong performance presence is a plus - Must be available to rehearse in the Detroit area. Rehearsals and filming will likely take place in Detroit. This project is currently in development and is an independent, artist-driven screen dance film.
