About the project: "House Guest" follows Steven, an isolated, unhoused man who takes refuge in a suburban home. But Steven's sense of safety is disrupted when another unhoused man, Ralph, enters the house, forcing Steven to confront his deepest fears. Rate: OPEN TO UNION OR NON-UNION ACTORS. ALL ROLES ARE NON-PAYING. Lunch and crafty provided. Additional information: Shooting dates: March 6th-8th, 2026. Filming location: North/West Vancouver. Male Presenting. Leading Role. Steven has been without a home for years, enduring robberies of his camp and threats to his security. He is afraid to get close to others and although he himself is unhoused, he views other unhoused people in a negative light. Steven is exhausted by what he has endured living on the streets and seeks a safe haven where he can spend a few days without anxiety about his safety.
Male Presenting. Supporting Role. RALPH is a newly unhoused man he's messy, reckless, impulsive, and chaotic. Ralph moves through the world with confidence rather than caution, he relies on charm and the kindness of strangers to survive.
Male Presenting. Supporting Role. The Screaming Man appears briefly in a flashback, terrorizing Steven. Aggressive and unpredictable, he has built the threat and instability that Steven associates with his life on the streets.
