Charlie Taylor is an 18-year-old high school senior student at Green Valley High School. He is utterly devoted, and delusionally in love with Daisy Rodgers. Charlie believes that the feelings he has for Daisy are reciprocated. When Daisy declines Charlie's request to go to the prom, Charlie loses all sanity and touch with reality. Charlie and his limited number of friends engage in the new popular game Dungeons and Dragons. He also has interests in occults and mystery.
Daisy Rodgers is an 18-year-old high school senior student at Green Valley High School. She is popular and is the head cheerleader. She has a wide friend group and is part of many clubs as well as part of the prom committee. Daisy is in a relationship with Ralph Douglas. When she is kidnapped by Charlie, she uses her survival instincts and tries to go along with him hoping she can catch him off guard.
Molly Spencer is an 18-year-old senior student at Green Valley High School. She is best friends with Daisy, and part of her friend's group. She is on the prom committee along with Daisy. She is in a relationship with Michael Swenson. Molly wants to be one of the first people that Daisy sees when she is finally rescued.
Debbie Reeves is an 18-year-old senior student at Green Valley High School. She is a close friend of Daisy and part of her friend's group. Debbie is the first to realize that Daisy is missing.
Jackie Smith is an 18-year-old senior student at Green Valley High School. Jackie is a close friend with Daisy and her friend's group. She is in a relationship with Dougie Brown.
Ralph Douglas is an 18-year-old senior student at Green Valley High School. He is in a relationship with Daisy Taylor. Charlie sees Ralph as competition and feels that he is better for Daisy than Ralph. Ralph feels Charlie is a threat to everyone at school.
Michael Swenson is an is an 18-year-old senior student at Green Valley High School. He is in a relationship with Molly Spencer and is a close friend of Daisy and part of her friend's group.
Dougie Brown is an is an 18-year-old senior student at Green Valley High School. He is in a relationship with Jackie Smith. His father is Detective Carl Brown who is assigned to the missing person report for Daisy Taylor.
Bradley Cole is a freshman at Green Valley High. He is the bully who appears in Charlie's flashback, when he thinks about the first time they met. Bradley trips Charlie causing the initial meeting of Charlie and Daisy.
Roger Simpson is a senior at Green Valley High School. He is a bully in Charlie's gym class that purposely hits Charlie in the face with a dodgeball.
