"Hairspray" Musical Needs Equity Chorus Dancers and Singers
Equity chorus dancers & singers for Playhouse's 2026 Season show "Hairspray". See breakdown below. Rate: COST $959 weekly minimum (Tier 1) Round trip transportation and housing in Dennis, MA are provided. Additional info: Auditions: Lunch 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM. Dancers: 9:00 AM (E) and 2:00 PM (E) Singers: 11:00 AM (E) and 4:00 PM (E) PREPARATION: Dancers - Please come prepared to dance. Actors should wear comfortable clothes with heels or flats. Singers - Please prepare a short cut of a contemporary up-tempo/ballad in the style of the show. Also please bring your headshot and resume stapled together. Dark: Sundays Performances: 2PM/7:30 PM and 8 performances a week Rehearsals are in NEW YORK. ECC Procedures are in effect for this audition. An Equity Monitor will be provided. Singers/Dancers (cis, trans, and non-binary) to portray white and Black teenagers in 1960s Baltimore. Ensemble performers will portray dancers on The Corny Collins Show (Tammy, Brenda, Shelley, Lou Ann, Brad, Fender, Sketch, IQ) as well as The Motormouth Kids (Gilbert, Stooie, etc.). May play other featured roles and many will cover/understudy supporting and principal roles as well. Exceptional dance ability with strong vocal and acting skills. Vocal ranges: all types.
