3 role s

AngusMale66-70 y.o.All ethnicities

Retired lawyer and recent widower with a cynical, gruff exterior that conceals inner emotional struggles. He mourns his wife, Grace, with a taciturn disposition, often using acerbic wit or angry bluster, and his name may symbolize his anguish. His grief is further complicated by discovering Grace’s possible infidelity, leading to feelings of inadequacy and resentment. Despite his rough exterior, he is ultimately humorous and deeply caring about the world around him.

AbigailFemale66-70 y.o.All ethnicities

Professional grief counselor serving as the grounding force and emotional foil to Angus. Despite holding three master's degrees obtained as a coping mechanism for anxiety and depression, she faces her own insecurities and past humiliations reminiscent of the "First Wives Club". Portrayed as sweet-natured and optimistic, she utilizes her professional skills to guide Angus and Ollie through role-play therapy, helping them confront their secrets and grief.

OllieMale60-65 y.o.All ethnicities

Former Detroit Tigers player and neighbor to Angus, is known as the "Good Neighbor"—a warm-hearted, good-natured man who initially checks on Angus out of duty and friendship. Despite being in a stable, long-term relationship with his partner, James, for decades, Ollie remains semi-closeted, struggling with the burden of not coming out to his 92-year-old, homophobic father, who now has dementia and lives with him.
