About the project: "Once Upon a Mattress," a beloved musical comedy retelling of The Princess and the Pea. A diverse cast to bring this magical, funny, and heartwarming story to life. Additional info: CALLBACKS will be held in-person on February 8th. Callbacks will consist of prepared songs from the show and a cold reading from the script. For full audition details and submission instructions, see the attachment below. Rehearsals are typically held on weeknights from 7pm-10pm and weekends from 1pm-5pm. On the audition form, you can submit all your potential conflicts. Specific rehearsal schedules will be handed out at first rehearsal. ALL Tech Week rehearsals are REQUIRED and will be held from 6pm-11pm. Performances Friday & Saturday, April 17 & 18 at 7:30pm Friday & Saturday, April 24 & 25 at 7:30pm Sunday, April 26 at 2:30pm (only matinee) If interested, submit your application.

He’s a nice, not too smart, everyday-type of handsome young Prince who desperately wants to get married.
Also known as Fred, is an unconventional, feisty, and independent princess from the swamp land. The 13th Princess to try and win the prince’s hand in marriage.
Larken desperately wants to marry Sir Harry because she is pregnant with his baby but can’t due to the Queen’s rule. Larkin is graceful, charming, and often a people pleaser.
Knight of the royal court. He is brave, romantic, and in love with Lady Larkin.
Is silent due to a curse. Must communicate only in gestures & facial expressions.
The domineering queen tries to prevent her son, Prince Dauntless, from marrying by setting impossible tests for potential brides.
The Royal entertainer to the King, the jester is upbeat, full of comedic comedy and always trying to aid the King. (Male or Female)
The narrator of this tale. Guides the audience through the tale with wit and flair. (Would prefer male but willing to go female if needed)
The right-hand man to the Queen. The wizard is scheming and flamboyant and enjoys creating chaos. (Male or Female)
Will play various roles with lines including Sir Studley, The Nightingale, Sir Luce, Lady Mabelle, and many others. Ensemble will be vital and will be on stage in various ways.
