Months later, Luanna attends college at a school in upstate New York, where she stalks a restaurateur and family man, Daniel, who she believes to be the late-Devon's doppelganger. Luanna is an eccentric, erudite teenager, more interested in art and books than video games or her phone. She is an ancient, stoic soul, who brooks no bullshit and mingles well with friends in a much older demographic. She works days at a rural country store and attends community college, but she is, undoubtedly, doctorate material.
Devon is a disheveled, middle-aged man, homeless and clad in soiled marathon running clothes and a butcher’s coat. Like Luanna, he is a cerebral, sensitive human, who is contrary and complicated. He is a man running from immediate peril, with a past shrouded in mystery. Daniel is a gentle, all-welcoming restaurateur and family man. He and his wife run an organic restaurant in a quaint town in upstate New York. He is educated, svelte, and soft-spoken, beloved by his customers and staff.
