Rate: LOA $698 weekly minimum (Ref. to COST) - 2025 rates Additional info: PREPARATION: Please prepare a brief vocal selection from a song of your choice. Bring sheet music in the appropriate key - an accompanist will be provided. You may sing from a show in season if you would like. Please bring your Equity card and your current headshot and resume, stapled together. An Equity Monitor will not be provided. The producer will run all aspects of this audition. To play high school teen, Tenor. The leader of the Burger Palace Boys. Good-looking, strong, and confident, with an air of easy-going charm. Dances well.
To play high school teen, Soprano. New girl in town; sweet, wholesome, naive, cute, and innocent.
To play high school teen, Alto. Leader of the Pink Ladies: tough, sarcastic, and outspoken but vulnerable.
To play high school teen, Alto. A dreamer; good-natured but not too bright. She is heavily made-up and fussy about her appearance, particularly her hair. She can't wait to finish high school to be a beautician.
To play high school teen, Alto. The 'beauty' of the Pink Ladies. She is pretty and looks older than the other girls, but she betrays her real age when she opens her mouth. She tries to act sophisticatedly.
To play high school teen, Alto. Funny, loud, compulsive eater and awkward member of the Pink Ladies. Loud and pushy with the girls but shy with the boys.
To play high school teen. The youngest of the guys is a tenor. He is small, boyish, and open, with a disarming smile and a hero-worshipping attitude toward the other guys. He also plays the guitar.
To play high school teen. The second in command of the Burger Palace Boys; tough-looking, tattooed, surly, and avoids any show of softness. He has an offbeat sense of humor. Tenor.
To play high school teen, Baritone. A member of the Burger Palace Boys, a funny Italian American, he is a braggart and wheeler-dealer who thinks he's a real lady-killer.
To play high school teen, Tenor. The anything-for-a-laugh stocky type of boy, a clown who enjoys winding people up, is full of mischief and always dreams up half-baked schemes and ideas.
A typical 'teen audience' disc jockey is slick, egotistical, and fast-talking. He is also a veteran 'Greaser.'
To play high school teen, Alto. The best dancer at St. Bernadette's, a loudmouth, wins the dancing competition with Danny.
To play high school teen, Tenor. The class valedictorian - physically awkward, with weak eyes and a high-pitched voice. He's a typical 'apple polisher' - smug and pompous but gullible.
To play high school teen, Tenor. All-American, rockstar “greaser” student at Rydell High, whose real name is Clarence.
A no-nonsense, severe, loud English teacher.
To play high school teen, Alto. A typical cheerleader. She is attractive, athletic, and sure of herself but can be given bursts of disconcerting enthusiasm. She's a bit of a pain, unpopular with the Pink Ladies, and can twirl a baton.
Tenor. Frenchy's suave and slick guardian angel encourages her to stay in school. A fantastic vocalist.
Excellent dancers who sing for various Ensemble tracks and to understudy Principals.
