A polished, high-achieving corporate executive (new VP of Worldwide Marketing at a major beauty company). Smart, composed, and image-conscious—until she wakes up in a nightmare: a “dead” man in her living room and missing time from the night before. April is forced to fight for control of her story, her freedom, and her life.

Male LeadMale30-35 y.o.African-American

Male, any ethnicity (script implies), 30s
April’s fiancé—handsome, professional, a lawyer who knows the system… but his jealousy and ego constantly get in the way. He swings between charm, suspicion, and control, often treating the crisis like a moral trial instead of a life-or-death emergency.

Female SupportFemale30-35 y.o.African-American

Female, African American, 30s
April’s best friend—bold, funny, brutally honest, and fearless. She’s the type who kicks the door open, tells it like it is, and protects her people. When danger hits, Ola doesn’t freeze—she acts. Provides comedic edge without losing emotional weight.

Male SupportMale35-40 y.o.African-American Latino / Hispanic White / Caucasian

Male, 40s
A detective who presents as calm, professional LAPD—measured voice, badge, authority. But beneath the surface he’s predatory and calculating, manipulating the situation to extort a valuable corporate secret. He shifts from “helpful cop” to full villain, revealing a cold, violent nature.

Male SupportingMale25-35 y.o.African-American

Male, African American, 30s (late 20s-30s range works)
A handsome man found “dead” in April’s living room—later revealed to be her ex-husband under a new name. A former convict with a violent past connected to April. He’s the central mystery and catalyst for the story’s spiral.
