What they got was Anne Shirley - a plucky redheaded girl with a huge imagination, and an even bigger temper. Soon Anne burrows her way into the hearts of the Cuthberts and all the residents of Avonlea, as she grows from a 12 year old to a young woman who burns with ambition.
