As the robot learns and adapts, he must choose between the safety of artificial companionship and the risk of real human connection — with tragic consequences. The Therapist is a calm, perceptive mental health professional working with the protagonist during his inpatient treatment. Grounded, patient, and emotionally intelligent, they guide conversations with care rather than force. This character does not diagnose aloud or moralize; instead, they listen deeply, ask precise questions, and allow silence to do much of the work.
