Seeking Cast for "Seussical" Musical Show

The company is holding auditions for "Seussical" Musical Show and looking for performers, please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: The Cat in the Hat tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust that contains the Whos, including Jojo, a Who child sent off to military school for thinking too many "thinks." Horton faces a double challenge: not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must guard an abandoned egg, left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant. Additional info: Material All of those auditioning should prepare 16 bars of a song in the style of Seussical. Please bring sheet music for your prepared piece; a pianist will be available. Acapella is ok, please no tracks. Each person will be asked to read an excerpt from a Dr. Seuss book. Selections will be available at the audition. You may prepare and bring your own excerpt if desired (~45 sec in length).
