About the project: Project Synopsis Lorelai Müller, a young woman in her 20s, wakes up in a dismal studio apartment in Nebraska. The setting is grim and suffocating, mirroring her emotional state. As she navigates the filth and decay of her surroundings, she reflects on her life choices, feeling trapped and haunted by her circumstances. The film delves into Lorelai’s internal struggles, depicted through her visceral experiences with her deteriorating living conditions and her physical health. After discovering alarming symptoms, she makes her way to a free clinic, where she faces the harsh reality of her situation. In the clinic, Lorelai undergoes a shocking examination, revealing that she has been infected with maggots due to exposure to decomposing organic material. This grotesque turn of events serves as a metaphor for her internalized trauma and self-destruction. The doctor’s clinical demeanor contrasts sharply with Lorelai's growing panic, highlighting the stark realities of her existence. The film culminates in Lorelai's realization that her desperation stems not from stupidity but from a profound hunger to escape her haunted life. As she exits the clinic, the unsettling atmosphere lingers, capturing the essence of her inner turmoil. Rate: Non-Union. Lead - LORELAI MÜLLER 275 daily x 2 days - possible 3 days.
