Montreal, QC, Canada
ID: 300762Exp: 1/28/2026
Description:

ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Casting male performer for a musical cabaret "Dirty and True". Please, see the details below. About the project: "Dirty and True" is an immersive, high-concept immersive musical cabaret that serves as a visceral proof of concept for the expanded Sleazy universe. The production blurs the lines between performance art, traditional musical theatre, and sensory-driven world-building. The story centers on the fragmented, public-facing life of Conor Blaine, a character defined by celebrity, ego, and a carefully curated digital presence. Participants are invited into a world where the boundaries between the performer and the audience are porous. Set against the backdrop of Montreal and Toronto, Dirty and True is an exploration of legacy, the "Kill Santa" franchise origin, and the intimate histories hidden beneath the sleaze. Rate: This is a professional, paid opportunity (Non-Union). Fees are benchmarked against industry standards for independent multidisciplinary productions, including professional rehearsal and performance rates, plus travel per diem for the Toronto production. Additional information: VOCAL: Must be a high-level musical theatre performer with a strong Tenor range (C3–A4). The ability to convey deep narrative emotion through song is essential. MOVEMENT: A very strong classical movement or dance background is required. The performer must be able to embody the posture, grace, and physical presence of an elite-level dancer. The character's physical "vocabulary" must reflect a life of high-level training. NARRATIVE CAPACITY: Ability to portray complex, long-term intimacy. Raphael must be comfortable with intense emotional vulnerability and physical affection as a means of grounding the high-concept world of the show. When applying, please submit your head shot and CV (PDF format). Please include "Casting Submission: Raphael Lee" in the subject line.
