"When a high school senior, Ava, visits her older sister before graduation, their close relationship is tested as they unravel the unseen ways their parents shaped them." Ava's older sister. She's a bit chaotic and has rebllious streak. Protective over her younger sister, but estranged with her parents. She had to grow up quickly to learn how to take care of herself.
Maya's younger sister. Ava tends to by the book and is someone who has always done the 'right' thing. She doesn't have the best relationship with her parents, but not to the same degree as her sister, Maya.
Close friend of Maya; Stylish, fun, has comedic timing. Can often be the voice of reason and responsibility.
Close friend of Maya; Witty, sharp and sassy Has comedic timing and can be pretty sarcastic.
