Lead. A brilliant but deeply anxious and isolated man with rigid routines and an intense need for control. Beneath his quiet demeanor lies repressed rage and escalating paranoia. Arthur transforms from meek and awkward to frantic and unstable as he believes he’s being manipulated. Key Traits: Anxious, obsessive, articulate, unraveling.
Supporting. Pendergast’s assistant. Efficient, professional, and subtly dismissive toward Arthur. She embodies workplace bureaucracy and appears in several of Arthur’s violent fantasies. Key Traits: Business-like, curt, a gatekeeper.
Supporting. Another patient of Dr. Sharma’s. Later appears claiming he is also being manipulated and urges Arthur toward violence. His true nature (is he real, imagined, or part of a plot?) is intentionally unclear. Key Traits: Nervous, conspiratorial, frantic.
Supporting. Lila’s volatile, physically imposing boyfriend. Verbally abusive and intimidating, representing the aggressive masculinity Arthur both fears and envies. Key Traits: Rugged, hot-headed, intimidating.
