As he becomes convinced he’s part of a psychological experiment, Arthur’s unraveling drives the film’s tense and unsettling descent. Lead. A brilliant but deeply anxious and isolated man with rigid routines and an intense need for control. Beneath his quiet demeanor lies repressed rage and escalating paranoia. Arthur transforms from meek and awkward to frantic and unstable as he believes he’s being manipulated. Key Traits: Anxious, obsessive, articulate, unraveling.
Supporting. Pendergast’s assistant. Efficient, professional, and subtly dismissive toward Arthur. She embodies workplace bureaucracy and appears in several of Arthur’s violent fantasies. Key Traits: Business-like, curt, a gatekeeper.
