Casting notice for psychological thriller "Hidden Desires" (OIF X Challenge). Seeking cast. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Please see the roles below. About the project: Genre/Tone: Psychological thriller/elevated horror (near-future, eerie, grounded, surreal). Logline: A brilliant psychiatrist uses an experimental mind-link device on a death row inmate—only to unlock her own buried trauma and unleash a darkness she can’t control. Rate: Unpaid, reel material, IMDb credit. Additional info: Location: Orlando, FL & surrounding areas. Shooting dates (aiming for): January 16-19. Union status: Non-Union. When applying, please include: 1) Headshot & resume 2) Reel, recorded monologue, or 1–2 acting clips 3) For STRANGER/GUARDS: any stunt/screen-combat experiences a plus. (LEAD). Highly competent psychiatrist with a controlled exterior. Beneath the professionalism: stress, dissociation, and a growing fear that she’s losing her grip. Must Have: Strong subtle acting; can carry scenes with minimal dialogue.
(LEAD/ANTAGONIST). Death row inmate. Charming, unnervingly calm, razor-sharp, and manipulative without raising his voice. Must Have: Charisma + menace; strong dialogue delivery.
(SUPPORTING). Coworker physician. Observant, grounded, the “normal” contrast to Amelia’s unraveling.
(SUPPORTING). An ordinary man approached at night. Minimal lines, high impact.
(SUPPORTING). Abusive figure in flashback. Volatile, intimidating.
(SUPPORTING). Cold authority, threatening presence.
