About the project: After a painful divorce shatters his personal life, sitcom star Cooper Reeves faces the ultimate professional betrayal when he learns his character is being written off. Consumed by betrayal and a desperate sense of injustice, he swaps the prop knife for a real one before his final scene. During the live taping, the scripted murder turns into a shocking real-life tragedy, leaving the cast, crew, and everyone watching with permanent scars. Rate: Non-Union. Cooper is a well-known sitcom actor. To the public, he is seen as bright, friendly, and warm. However, the real Cooper is much more calm, reserved, and analytical. After a recent divorce, he is going through a difficult time, which causes him to make frequent mistakes on set. The director eventually decides to remove him from the show.
John is the director of the sitcom Cooper stars in. Cooper’s increasing mistakes and lack of focus have been causing him trouble, and he eventually receives an order from above to replace Cooper. Although he feels some sympathy due to their long working relationship, he remains firm and professional in his decision to move forward with Elijah.
Sarah is Cooper’s ex-wife, and she is also an actress. After their recent divorce, she accidentally finds out about Cooper being removed from the sitcom and decides to deliver the news to him herself. She is calm, intellectual, warm, and has a gentle smile. Before their marriage fell apart, she and Cooper shared a passionate relationship.
Elijah is also a sitcom actor—less experienced than Cooper and in a supporting position. Due to Cooper’s recent slump and public divorce, Elijah secretly hopes he might replace him as the lead. While he appears warm, kind, and supportive on the surface, he is actually ambitious and eager for success. Looking for an actor who can bring charm to dialogue scenes with Cooper rather than rely on heavy emotional acting.
Tallulah is a lively, bubbly actress on the sitcom. Within the sitcom, she plays Cooper’s love interest, with a ditsy and free-spirited personality. In reality, she is warm, cheerful, and perceptive. She understands Cooper’s struggles and genuinely tries to comfort him. Welcome actors who can portray an energetic, slightly naive sitcom persona while maintaining genuine warmth underneath.
