About the project: Synopsis Confined is a thriller/horror short film that follows two overnight cleaners who are forced to confront each other for the first time since their breakup. But their unresolved issues quickly become the least of their worries when they find themselves locked inside the gym overnight. Hunted by a crazed, masked intruder. To make it out alive, marcus and maya must put their differences aside and work together before it's too late. Additional info: SHOOT DATES: Late January through Early- Late February. LEAD Maya is a smart & responsible young woman still hurting from a fresh break-up, leaving her emotionally and mentally guarded. She wants a quiet Halloween night, but is forced into an overnight shift with her EX, which becomes a nightmare.
SUPPORTING LEAD Marcus is a funny and charming young man, but is unreliable and irresponsible at times, with a history of leaving shifts early. Still, he cares for Maya and tries to act tough when things go wrong, despite being just as scared.
SUPPORTING Bill is a strict and stern no-nonsense manager at his gym, who prioritizes convenience over safety. Clueless but authoritative, he locks Maya and Marcus in overnight.
SUPPORTING Sharon, Maya's mother, is her emotional anchor, offering comfort after the breakup. Her last minute call into work forces Maya to spend Halloween alone, unintentionally setting the night's events into motion.
SUPPORTING Vanessa is a kind hearted and seemingly innocent young woman. She is accidentally locked in the gym overnight with Maya and Marcus. Disheveled and confused when first found, but ultimately reveals a violent, sinister nature.
