MiaFemale19-27 y.o.All ethnicities

MIA can be perceived as cold, but she is simply a reserved and slightly awkward young woman who feels like she has not achieved enough at this point in her life. She puts pressure on herself to feel fulfilled, but struggles to maintain any clear goals. Mia’s friend had talked her into attending a big New Year’s Eve party, but left early, leaving Mia alone in a room full of people to reflect on all the resolutions she failed to cross off her list.

DanielMale20-28 y.o.All ethnicities

DANIEL is an outgoing and fun-loving burnout, projecting a laid-back demeanor that doesn’t necessarily come naturally to him. He has recently graduated from university, spending much of his youth working towards an esteemed degree, but now, he is in no rush to begin his career. Despite pressure from his mother to get a job, Daniel is determined to make up for that lost time with partying and relaxation. On New Year’s Eve, Daniel throws a big party.

MaryFemale50-65 y.o.All ethnicities

MARY is Daniel’s next-door neighbor. She is warm and motherly, but since her son has moved out, she has felt a void in her life. Despite the wisdom she has to share, the emptiness in Mary’s home has made her withdraw from the outside world. Mary’s motherliness truly shines through when she interacts with Daniel, reminding her of her son, and Mia, reminding her of a young her.
