About the project: Jackson, a trans kid early on in his transition, is deciding to finally live as his authentic self. His mom, Mariam, doesn’t understand and is in denial of anything being different. Throughout his day, Jackson is confronted by transphobia from every angle, from bullies to his best friend, and it wears him down. Later, when Mariam pressures Jackson to do something that makes him uncomfortable, Jackson breaks down and confronts her. They argue, but in the end Mariam comes to understand Jackson and he doesn’t feel so alone anymore. Rate: Non-Union. Unpaid. Catering, craft service, IMDB credit, and demo reel footage provided.
