CTV' "MasterChef Canada" Seeks Home Amateur Cooks
NATIONWIDE CANADA CASTING! MASTERCHEF CANADA is the country’s biggest culinary competition and casting is NOW OPEN for home cooks with a passion for food, creativity in the kitchen and an engaging personality who are ready to embark on a life-changing journey. More details are below. Additonal information: At stake for the winner are the coveted title of Canada’s MasterChef and a $100,000 cash prize. If you think you have what it takes to withstand the heat in the MasterChef Canada Kitchen, now’s your chance to prove it! ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE 19 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AS OF DECEMBER 1, 2025. AVAILABILITY. All applicants will need to be available to travel to Toronto for filming during the window of March 20-April 30, 2026. Filming is approximately fifteen (15) days. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS AND CONDITIONS: You must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident. You do not currently work as a professional chef and you must disclose if you have ever previously worked as a professional chef or have earned income from preparing and/or cooking food in a professional environment. You will need to include two videos and multiple photos that highlight your personality and cooking skills. You must review and agree to the Online. Agreement and Release at the end of the Application. TIPS FOR SUBMITTING PHOTOS & VIDEOS Review the application in its entirety before filling out. Your videos can be filmed on a smartphone. Directors do ask for recent photos of you, your signature dish and a dish you’ve recently prepared. All details of required visuals can be found in the application. Please note that photos and videos DO NOT need to be professionally shot and/or edited. Make sure that your phone/device is in landscape mode (hold sideways please) so they see you full frame. Make sure that your environment is quiet and well lit. Be sure there’s no music or TV playing in the background. It is best to have your light source in front of you. Do not use filters. Do not add music. Do not exceed 90 seconds for your Introduction Video. Do not exceed 4 minutes for your Cooking Presentation Video. If you're interested, please apply.
