Seeking African-American women for "Porcelain & Power Unboxed" documentary film. See the details below. ONLY DC, VA, WV, AND LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: "Porcelain & Power Unboxed" is a mixed-media project that reimagines the historical and cultural imagery of dolls across generations. The project centers the lived experiences of Black women and girls and challenges conventional standards of beauty and identity, while uplifting a new generation to embrace the richness and resilience found in our shared humanity. Through photography, film, and technology, Porcelain & Power Unboxed invites audiences to see themselves in new, affirming ways that challenge the historically narrow standards of beauty and identity. Rate: While directors are unable to offer monetary compensation, craft services will be provided on set, and all participants will receive a small token of appreciation. Additional info: The documentary will be filmed in early 2026. The full presentation is scheduled to be shared with the community in September 2026. Multigenerational female families will be invited to share in a collective family interview. Participants must live in the DC Metropolitan area. If you are interested, please apply.
