About the project: A new comedy short film about two American girls on a Christian mission trip to Japan who accidentally book themselves into a church themed Love Hotel and are mistaken for prostitutes by a drunk Japanese salaryman. It's a funny exploration of fantasy and cultural clash, which leads each of the characters to a new, more authentic understanding of themselves. Akira is a burned-out Salaryman in Tokyo. After a grueling day at the office, he ends his night at THE CHURCH LOVE HOTEL where his private fantasy awaits: Being reprimanded by two nuns (two American girls on a religious mission trip who he mistakes for prostitutes). Drunk, he stumbles inside and playfully pretends to be a “naughty sinner” who must repent. But something shifts. He experiences a real spiritual awakening and suddenly snaps out of his fantasy.
