Singing Audition for "Annie" Play
Performers are welcome to audition for the "Annie" musical. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone's hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. She is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage that is run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan. With the help of the other girls in the Orphanage, Annie escapes to the wondrous world of NYC. In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations... and even befriends President Franklin Delano Roosevelt! She finds a new home and family in billionaire, Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary, Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy Additional info: Auditions will take place in a warm and supportive group setting. Actors will sing, dance, and read sides from the musical. Acting sides are available here. Audition songs are available here. Choreography will be taught at the auditions. Rehearsals typically take place Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 5:30-8:00 and Sundays from 2:00-5:00. There will be a choreography workshop on Saturday, January 17. Additional rehearsals will be added closer to show week that cannot be missed. All conflicts between January 9 and March 14 must be provided at registration. Adding additional conflicts after casting is grounds for reduced stage time or dismissal from the production. Conflicts do not mean you will not be cast, but they might affect how you are cast.
