"The Sea Will Remember Us" - Short Film
Title: "The Sea Will Remember Us" Genre: Drama Production Type: Student Film (Film MFA, York University) Union Status: Non-union / ACTRA Location: Toronto, ON (Studio Shoot at York University CFT) Shoot Dates: December 13–15, 2025 LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT: Actors must speak Arabic (Palestinian dialect strongly preferred, but not required). NOTE: This is a student project, and we do not have the funds to pay the crew and cast, but we will cover the food and transportation costs during the shoot. LOGLINE: Separated by borders and a brutal war, a husband and wife fight to stay connected through a fragile phone signal as their worlds collapse, forcing them to confront love, guilt, and the limits of hope.

Emotionally layered role. Performs scenes of fear, shock, and deep vulnerability. Role requires strong emotional range and comfort with both tense and intimate dramatic scenes. Actor must speak Arabic, preferably Palestinian dialect.
Central emotional anchor of the film. Actor should be comfortable performing intense dramatic material. Actress must speak Arabic, preferably Palestinian dialect.
