A bright, positive young woman, new in town, who feels lonely and misses her old friends. She arranges the dinner party to make new acquaintances and promote her husband's business. She wants to be loved and romanced by her husband, not just "serviced".
Shayna's husband and the manager of a successful furniture store. He prefers quick, hurried intimacy with his wife and is sometimes distant, which causes Shayna discomfort.
An energetic woman with a "sass" who, with her husband, abandoned a show business career to raise a daughter. She is eager to get back into show business.
Billie's husband and a salesman at Grant's furniture store. He still gets jealous about a possible affair from years ago and secretly feels he should have received the manager promotion that Grant got. He is more excitable than Billie.
A haughty, on-edge psychiatrist whose comments are often sarcastic and insulting, though her unpleasant attitude may stem from inner pain. She is now the primary earner in the family.
Veronica's husband, an engineer who left his high-paying job to pursue his dream of becoming a writer. He has a weary patience and still loves the woman Veronica used to be, hoping her current unhappiness will pass. Dudet is pronounced Do-Day.
