Casting Performers for Miscast Cabaret

Actors needed for a Miscast Cabaret. Please see the details below. About the project: What is a Miscast Cabaret? In Miscast Cabaret, performers take the stage in roles they'd never be traditionally cast in - and have a blast doing it! You'll see singers perform songs meant for characters of different genders, ages, or types, creating fresh, funny, and sometimes surprisingly moving reinterpretations of favorite musical theatre numbers. It's a night full of creativity, laughter, and unexpected surprises as performers break the casting rules and celebrate the joy of performance in all its forms. Additional info: Auditions: Prepare 2 songs for your audition. One song should be the one you would like to perform in the Cabaret, the other is a backup in case there are multiple auditions of that song choice. Have your second ready for the audition just in case you are asked by the production staff to perform it. You will only need to prepare 16-32 bars of your songs. Bring your accompanying track with you to the auditions. They will have you connect to their sound equipment via bluetooth on your phone/device. Bring a list of conflicts you may have between January 2nd, 2026 and performance dates. Rehearsals: There will be at least one, one hour rehearsal with production staff prior to tech week to review staging, blocking, and potential technical aspects. You may sign up for more rehearsals after everyone has had a chance. You must be memorized and off-book of your piece prior to any rehearsals.
