Lead. (Female, early 40s) has submitted herself to life: she works a monotonous job, comes home to a husband she doesn't care for, and mindlessly repeats the cycle every day. That is, until she sees her childhood best friend, Cee, on a wanted poster. Jamie is reminded of her days at government-mandated Camp Horizon, where she and Cee, mystical Cee, burned bright: unruly, blooming, ecstatic, connected only to nature, to each other, and to their own selves. Rate: US$200 flat rate
Lead. (Female, 14) has just arrived at government-mandated Camp Horizon, where the State takes on the parental role and molds a generation. If Jamie could choose any superpower, she would choose to be invisible, but her meekness hides a deep desire for freedom, connection, feeling. Cee shows her that and more, as well as a metal bug implanted into the lining of her esophagus. Not Paid
Supporting. (Female, 14) is an event just about to happen, and you don't want to miss it. It's easy to see why she disrupts Jamie's world: Cee is anxious, captivating, disobedient, and all over the place. She tells the girls about metal beetles in their esophagi and forcefully vomits her own to prove it… but that means she has to go on the run. Not Paid
Supporting. (Female, early 40s), once a tomboy, is now a poster girl for the perfect wife: feminine, attentive, good-humored…until she gets pregnant. Max becomes troubled by thoughts of her camp days and her friend's rebellion, and starts to wonder about whether she really wants the thing growing in her stomach. Not Paid
Supporting. (Female, 14), an incorrigible tomboy. Wide-eyed and energetic, she lives with perpetually scraped knees, never turning down a chance to roughhouse or dig up worms. Max is a resident of government-mandated Camp Horizon. Not Paid
Day Player. (Male, early 40s), an agreeable but overbearing husband. His dream is to be a parent, but he's never thought to ask his wife if hers is too. Not Paid
Day Player. (Male, 40s), a contented husband and soon-to-be-father, whose only thoughts revolve around football and what's for dinner. Not Paid
Day Player. (Female, 19), a counselor at a government-mandated Camp Horizon. Her cheery personality hides her constant surveillance of the kids. Not Paid
Day Player. (Any gender, 40s), the buoyant but tired manager of a grocery store. Not Paid
Day Player. (Male, 30-50), an intimidating military policeman in charge of security at a checkpoint. Not Paid
Day Player. (Female, 14) a haughty, hard-to-please girl from a well-to-do family. Elle is a resident of government-mandated Camp Horizon. Not Paid
