5 roles
Lead. A jaded East Asian grocery clerk, trapped in the monotonous cycle of life. She’s grown “numb” to the harassment she receives at work, having learned to master a kind of practiced indifference. Beneath her dry wit and sarcasm lies a heaviness that consumes her.
Supporting. A mature adult. They carry a sense of quiet authority, grounded in a soft-spoken yet direct, no-BS attitude that cuts through Georgia’s defenses.
Bit part. An entitled middle-aged cheapskate. She will be asking for the manager if she doesn’t like what she hears, even if she’s in the wrong.
Bit part. Classic Karen energy. Demands a refund even if they’ve consumed most of the product (and probably enjoyed it).
ADDITIONAL CHARACTER. Bit part. A sleazy older man who makes no effort to hide what he wants.
