Feature Film: "Something from Somewhere, Someone from Someplace"
In a quiet town heavy with unspoken grief, 19-year-old poet Andromeda fills pages with verses no one reads while navigating life with her emotionally distant father. The summer before college feels like both an ending and a reckoning, as the weight of her absent mother and a fading friendship begin to surface. Everything changes when she meets River, a mysterious young man whose presence awakens long-buried memories and hidden connections. Through their bond, Andromeda begins to uncover truths about her past that force her to confront her pain and rediscover her voice. Told through lyrical vignettes, fragmented memories, and dreamlike moments, Something from Somewhere, Someone from Someplace captures the fragile beauty of growing up, the ache of loss, and the quiet strength it takes to heal. This is a non-union, unpaid student film project, directed by a passionate film student, focused on authenticity, emotion, and visual storytelling.
