Voice Actors Wanted for Narrative Podcast
Voice Actors Needed for Mystery/Thriller Narrative Podcast – Step Right Up Description: Step Right Up is a narrative podcast that is a mystery/thriller about a girl who must face her greatest fears and protect the ones closest to her. The main character’s name is Sara Taylor, and she can’t stop herself from finding the truth and uncovering mysteries. Looking for multiple voice actors for the episodes, as I believe this will be a long-term project. I would like to have VAs that are consistent characters we grow with and spend time with. The characters vary from their early/mid-twenties to mid-fifties. The story takes place in 2012 in the fictional city of Oakhaven, Arkansas. Sara has to confront her fears, her past, and learn to embrace the truth instead of running from it – it’s using the very thing she created to try to get her again. Submission Date: September 6, 2025 Location: Fort Wayne, IN – 46805 (remote options possible) Multiple Voice Actors (characters ages early/mid-20s to mid-50s) Non-Union Unpaid If interested, please apply.

Sara Taylor is a relentless paranormal investigator driven by an insatiable need to uncover hidden truths. Growing up without a family to ground her, she learned to rely on herself, throwing everything into her investigations as a way to find meaning in the unknown. She also struggles to make relationships. She is 22 years old, a college dropout, and she is 5'5 140lbs
Sara’s 21-year-old roommate and closest (if not only) real friend. Sydney is bright, energetic, and fashionable, working at a boutique in Ridgeway Plaza. She brings much-needed levity to Sara’s life, often teasing her about her obsession with the supernatural while secretly finding it fascinating (and terrifying). Sydney has no interest in ghost-hunting, but she’s always down for an adventure—so long as she doesn’t have to step foot in a haunted house.
Evelyn "Evie" Calloway is a kind but no-nonsense woman who took Sara in when she was a a child. She wasn't able to officially adopt her, but she did her best to give Sara a stable home. She runs a small or café in town, called Evie’s Diner which is a place Sara still visits from time to time. They have a complicated but loving relationship. Evie still checks in on Sara, sometimes leaving her home-cooked meals or scolding her for not taking care of herself.
Mr. Hargrove is The owner of Hargrove & Co., the local pawn shop. He’s a sharp-eyed, practical man who’s seen every kind of bargain and excuse come through his counter. There’s a gruffness to him, but under it, he knows more about the town’s history (and its secrets) than he lets on. People respect him, even if they don’t always trust him.
Will is an odd, yet strangely charismatic shopkeeper who seemingly appears out of nowhere. He’s in his 20’s or 30’s. He’s so mysterious nobody knows. But he knows a lot. He’s got long hair, clean shaven and is always calm. And somehow he knows way more than people tell him. He’s very soft spoken and does his job well. But no one really knows where he, or the shop came from
